Hello, I’m Evan.

I’m a designer, art teacher, and independent maker living in China.

I studied design and worked in the early Chinese internet industry before becoming an art teacher and running a small art studio. These days my work moves between teaching, photography, and building small tools for the web.

I like ordinary places: local markets, streets after rain, the view from a slow train, and the conversations that happen when nobody is in a hurry. Photography helps me pay attention. Writing helps me remember.

This site is a place for stories, photographs, observations, and things collected along the way. It is intentionally small and will grow at the pace of a real life.
